Cascina Rocchetta is set in the Langhe hills of Piedmont, in North West Italy. About half an hour south of Alba, this mainly agricultural area is famous for its wine, hazelnuts and truffles. The food is rather good, too.
The seven-bedroom house is made up of the original farmhouse and converted barns to form three sides of a courtyard through which you look, over the swimming pool, to the hills beyond.
Remote yet accessible, Cascina Rocchetta offers the perfect location to explore the region, and yet is comfortable enough to relax and do nothing for peaceful days on end.
